Colony of Mercy Chaplain
After spending forty years chasing the things the world had to offer, God lifted me from the mud and mire. He saved my life from the bondage of addiction. The very night that He saved me He also gave me a desire to serve Him with all my heart. He brought me to the Colony of Mercy as a resident. God used the Colony of Mercy to begin changing me into the person that He needed me to be to do His work. Jesus Christ set me free from a life addicted to cocaine, alcohol, sexual immorality, pornography, anti-depressants, tranquilizers, cigarettes and material possessions (just to name few).
I fell in love with Jesus Christ and the addiction recovery ministries of America’s Keswick. Today, I serve as a Chaplain at the Colony of Mercy. God is using the gifts that He gave me to bring glory to His name. My passion is to lead hurting people to Jesus and to help them see the true character of our God. This is accomplished through Biblical counseling, modeling a life sold out for Christ and by speaking at churches and events about the victory that can be found through a personal relationship with the Lord.
Recently God gave me these verses as the purpose He has for my life:
But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles— to whom I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me. Acts 26:16-18 (ESV)
